The Start of a Journey

Updated: Sep 25, 2023

We began our journey on Smallcase over the week by launching our portfolios at tikonacapital.smallcase.com. The portfolios are based on themes that, in our opinion, will benefit over the long term from the underlying economic trends and tailwinds that we are currently witnessing. These portfolios are built, based on the business opportunity, management calibre and compounding possibilities. Young India Themes is a portfolio of 25 emerging firms across market caps, while Themes for Decade is a portfolio of attractive 20 large cap companies. You may check out more information at tikonacapital.smallcase.com.

In the week of July 18 to 22, 2022.

  • The week's performance of #NIFTY generated 4.3 percent, bringing the three-year CAGR to 14 percent.

  • Driven by an increase in #ITstocks (up 6.4%) and #Banks (up 6.6%)

  • A few private banks reported earnings that exceeded growth projections, while treasury losses restrained profit growth.

  • While margins fell short of forecasts, IT services businesses surprised positively on growth while aiming for an improving margin trajectory.

  • Positive FII inflows and anticipated relief from #inflationary pressure further boosted market #optimism .

What to look out for next week

  • Corporate commentary for 18 of the 50 nifty firms that have results to announce.

  • Large US corporate results and commentary are likely to influence global stock markets.

  • Quantum and commentary of Federal Reserve's interest rate announcement on July 27.

Overall, our portfolio continues to be a beneficiary of returns on #Finacialisation and #Techification of #ThemesForDecade #investing #smallcase #equities
